I was saddened to wake this morning to the news of Deon Estus’ passing. It always gives me pause when musicians whom we’ve listened to countless times or admired for their talents leave our world, but it’s always a gut punch when it is a friend. Deon Estus was the bass player for Wham, performed on George Michaels’ first two solo albums, and is the artist behind the chart topping “Heaven Help Me” from the late 80’s. We was a fan of ours, and quickly became a regular figure at our LA area shows. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Raise one with Mikey when you see him!Thank you for the music.
